Fresh fruits and vegetables contain vitamins necessary for our DNA to do its job; repair, heal, make new cells. When our body lacks these vital vitamins, our body sends signals via the skin, hair, pain, soreness, redness, itchiness, bumps, bruises, watery eyes, etc.
